Lisa Mathes-Peters enters her sixth season at the helm of the Falcons. While at East Central College her Falcons have won two NJCAA Region 16 Championships in 2012 and 2013. The Falcons have made the trip to the NJCAA National Championship by winning the District O Championship in 2013 as well. Two other times under Coach Mathes-Peters the Falcons finished Region 16 runners-up in 2011 and 2014. A 109-108 record at ECC has Coach Mathes-Peters looking to achieve her fourth winning season out of a total six this coming year.

During her tenure at ECC, she has produced one NJCAA All-American and 17 Academic All-Americans.  In addition, Coach Mathes-Peters has had 19 all-region selections and 16 all-conference selections.  Numerous players have gone on to four year institutions to finish their academic and athletic careers.

After spending time as a player and assistant Coach at Indian Hills-Ottumwa, Iowa she took the head job at Des Moines Area Community College for two years and then moved to the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota as head coach for six more years.  The Cougars experienced success on the court and in the classroom under her tutelage. During her last year at Sioux Falls the Cougars finished 21-19.

Coach Mathes-Peters lives in Washington with her husband Tim and their children: Blake 5 and 8 month old twins Bradyn and MacKenzie.
